CUTV News July 2 – Summer Literary Seminars, Olympic stadium, World Partnership walk

This week on CUTV News, Summer Literary Seminars hold their first session of workshops in Montreal, Terrence gets the word on the street about the proposed permanent rooftop on the Olympic stadium, and we take a look at World Partnership Walk.A collection of poets, and authors made their way to Montreal this week to hone their craft. Holding workshops, networking, and enjoying a lively city, the seminar attendees added Montreal to the list of cultured locales they prefer to hold the event in.The Olympic stadium has cost the city of Montreal a lot. And the city is proposing to spend more money on the stadium by replacing it’s failing rooftop with a permanent one. The problem is, by adding a permanent rooftop, the stadium would no longer be considered an olympic venue. (Olympic venues must have retractible tops.) So CUTV’s Terrence went out to get opinions on whether spending the taxpayer’s money on a local eyesore would be worth it.CUTV was at the World Partnership Walk. The walk is organized annually by volunteers to end global poverty. There are walks organized in many cities around the globe.
